"We've been accused of turning a place full of strangers, into a room full of friends."
Alex and Amanda Jo are Deliberate Kin. Last year they sold their home, their land and nearly everything they owned. They jumped into a homemade camper van with their two girls to travel the country and be professional musicians.
They spent the last two years engaging a grassroots following, earning loyalty and praise. While still farming full-time in 2019, they managed to play 103 shows in 15 states. It’s a testament to what a genuine desire for connection can foster. Their live show reminds you how vital of an instrument humanity can be. A positive energy radiates through their warm acoustic tones. This unique style lingers long after the lights have gone down.
On track to double the number of shows performed last year, this duo is taking 2020 for a ride from Coast to Coast! Alex & Amanda Jo successfully released their first album, Things Happen **, to radio play and great reviews in 2018. A mosaic of raw emotions and beautiful stories, you’ll hear tasty guitar licks, percussive shuffles and smooth harmonies. These songs are lonesome folk with a bluegrass swing, driven by a groovy roots feel. There’s something for everyone here.
**Things Happen was produced by 9th Ward Pickin’ Parlor with additional instrumentation crafted by talented artists, Mike & Katie West Of Truckstop Honeymoon.
Check out the Tour Dates and you'll catch this joyful duo in theaters, coffee shops, brew pubs, house concerts and festivals.
